EXCLUSIVE: Pankhuri Awasthy Rode recalls her reaction on learning about her pregnancy: Thought we are going towards a miscarriage

Actor Pankhuri Awasthy Rode is blessed with twins- a daughter Radhya and a son Raditya. They welcomed their babies on July 25, 2024, and since then they have not even revealed their faces on Instagram. As Mother’s Day is coming soon, Pankhuri Awasthy spoke about pregnancy, motherhood and her postpartum depression in a candid interview with Bollywood Bubble. Moreover, she also happened to tell us about an incident when she and her husband Gautam Rode thought they were going towards a miscarriage.

Pankhuri Awasthy on her reactions after learning about pregnancy

When asked about their reactions when they got to know about the twins, the Madam Sir actor said they were scared initially. She told us, “We got to know under circumstances that we were really scared. We thought we were going towards a miscarriage because there was bleeding and we both were really scared. He didn’t show it to me but I was all out crying. There was a lot of pain, plus, you see blood and you know what it is. My doctor made it very dramatic until he did all the checkups and while he was doing the checkup, he said ‘Oh boy’ and I was like ‘Let’s be prepared for the worst’. Then my doctor said ‘I can’t congratulate you’ and I was like ‘Okay’.

“I was too busy with my reaction when the doctor told us that ‘I need to congratulate twice’. Adding that the two were quite surprised. It was a surreal moment. It was so overwhelming that I was crying when I was lying on the bed for a checkup,” she ended.

Pankhuri also mentioned that all her life she wanted to have twins and she manifested it. Moreover, she also manifested having a girl and a boy twins. She said it was too ‘unreal to believe’ that they were blessed with a girl and a boy.
